一、課程說明(Course Description)
This course is the second part of the Microelectronic Circuits. Assuming that
students have learned the characteristics and models of basic electronic
devices (Diodes, BJTs and MOSFETs) from Microelectronic Circuit I or its
equivalent, this course continues to talk about the characteristics of general
electronic circuits, especially analogue circuits consisted of the basic
devices. The performance and analysis of basic amplifiers will be covered,and
the characteristics considered include frequency response, feedback,and
stability. Data converters will be introduced at the end, and digital CMOS
logic circuit may be covered if time permitted.

四、教學方式(Teaching Method)

The course is lectured in English with power-point handouts.
PSPICE simulation will be required in homeworks.

General topics to be covered:

–Week 1 : Introduction
–Week 1-5 : Single-stage Integrated-Circuit Amplifiers
–Week 6-9 : Differential and Multistage Amplifiers
–Week 10-14 : Feedback
–Week 15-17 : Data Converters
–If time permitted : Digital CMOS logic circuits

六、成績考核(Evaluation)

Homework: 30% (around 10 assignments)
Midterm I: 20%
Midterm II: 20%
Final: 30%
