一、課程說明(Course Description)
Welcome to the world of microwave circuits. This area impacts many recent
electronic developments such as wireless communication and high-speed
optoelectronic systems. This course introduces concepts and principles of
circuit analysis and design at microwave frequencies by examining microwave
active and passive devices. Microwave device modeling and non-ideal effects
in circuit operation such as noise and nonlinear distortion are also
emphasized. The design techniques required to develop most of the major
building blocks in modern microwave systems are also included.

Topics to be covered:
Microwave circuit principles
- Transmission lines
- S-parameters
- Gain/Stability of active and passive networks
- Circuit bias networks
- Matching networks
- Low-noise amplifier design
- Power amplifier design
- Voltage-controlled oscillator
- Mixer
