<br>A 10-15 minute quiz usually is given every Tuesday at the beginning of the second class period.
<br>Exceptions such as during test weeks, will be announced. 
<br>
<br>Quizzes are closed notes and closed book.  No make-up quizzes are given for any reason, 
<br>but the two lowest quizzes grades will be dropped. Usually quiz questions are 
<br>problems from the textbook, possibly slightly modified.
<br>
<br>Homework will be assigned approximately weekly and is due on Thursday unless otherwise specified.  
<br>On each assignment, some problems will be graded and they are chosen randomly.
<br>
<br><LI>Print name in top right corner of the first page.
<br><LI>Staple all pages together. Otherwise, we may loose them.
<br><LI>For each day late, one problem will not be graded.

<br>There are two 100-minute mid-term examinations evening tests and one two-hour final examination.  
<br>All are closed book and closed note. For mid-term examinations, 
<br>you are allowed to bring one-sided of A4 paper. For final examinations, 
<br>you are allowed to bring three one-sided A4 papers of note.
<br></p>
<br>All tests are comprehensive, but have emphasis on material covered since the
<br>previous exam.  Exam questions are typically not from the book.

<br>Instances of suspected cheating are reported to the Dean of Students.
