一、課程說明(Course Description)
This course aims to encourage students to read broadly in English, learn to have fun, and develop a habit of reading for life. Three types of medical science books will be discussed: (1) Biographies of great bio-scientists and physicians. (2) Writings by notable scientists and physicians. (3) Science
fiction or medical thrillers.

四、教學方式(Teaching Method)
Student presentations, lectures, discussion, term paper.
五、教學進度(Syllabus)
In the first half of the semester, we will read and discuss several short medical science essays.
Each student will need to read a science fiction and give an oral presentation describing how he or she thinks about the book in the second half of the semester. A one-page term paper about the book will need to be submittedat the end of the semester.
六、成績考核(Evaluation)
50% oral presentation; 30% discussion; 20% term paper.
