一、課程說明 (Course Description)

This course introduces the concept and applications of digital signal processing. Concepts including sampling and aliasing, discrete-time Fourier transform, z-Transform, FIR/IIR filter design, and DSP algorithms will be covered in this course. Multimedia, biomedical, and other applications will be discussed whenever appropriate so as to strengthen students' intuition.

四、教學方式 (Teaching Method)

This course will be taught **in English** by the lecturer using combination of slides and the blackboard. Homework (computer-based assignments) and a midterm exam will be used to help the students to understand the course contents. A final team project is required. You are free to choose any topic related to digital signal processing.

五、教學進度 (Syllabus):
Please refer to the course website for a detailed syllabus. Lectures will cover sampling and signal reconstruction, analysis of LTI systems, FIR and IIR filter design, discrete Fourier transforms, short-time Fourier transform (above are covered in textbook Chapter 4-10), and selected advanced topics. We have plan to have two invited speakers to talk about applications of signal processing.
