1. Course Objective/Description: Introduce fundamental concepts in Materials
Science. After this course, you will learn about material structure, how structure dictates properties and how processing can change structure.


2. Required textbook:Materials Science and Engineering: An Introduction,
W.D. Callister, Jr. and D.G. Rethwisch, 8th edition, John Wiley and Sons, Inc. (2010).

4. Teaching method: Lectures with powerpoint materilas highlight improtant portions of each chapter. Some experiment will be conducted for some chapters.
