Course Description: In this course we will be reading Homer’s Iliad, Odyssey and
Greek Mythology along with artworks (such as the paintings on the Grecian urns)
that seek to represent these tales of Gods and heroes. With thus, we attempt at
an initial understanding of ancient Greek culture and especially their cultural
values embedded within these heroic epics and myths.
