一、課程說明(Course Description)
EE3662 數位訊號處理實驗 (Digital Signal Processing Lab.)
**修課條件: 必需修過至少訊號與系統以上以及會C或C++程式設計 建議修過數位訊號處理概論為佳

Class Hours: Mon. 15:30-18:20.
Class Room: 台達 201教室.
Practice Hours: Mon. 15:30-18:20.
Practice Room: 台達 219 DSP與嵌入式系統教學實驗室.
Instructors: 劉奕汶(今年輪總負責)、李祈均、黃朝宗、孫民、李夢麟、馬席彬

Office Hour: Fri. 15:30~17:20 (Liu).

Course Objectives:
從應用出發,培養DSP 實際解決問題的sense 與經驗。

四、教學方式(Teaching Method)
本課程採音訊、影像、生醫三個大的單元,每個單元一個月,
由負責之教師(各兩位)負責實際授課與帶實驗。期末則留有一個月時間進行自訂專題.


五、教學進度(Syllabus)[Tentative]
9/14: Course Logistics.

Unit 1 (9/21, 28, 10/5, 12):
Biomedical application, ECG signal acquisition and processing (Prof. 馬、李)
Week 1: Course Logistics. Arduino platform and its communication with PC
Week 2: ECG circuitry, signal sampling and digitization
Week 3: Fundamental ECG digital signal processing
Week 4: Heart rate detection, final project ideas.

Unit 2: (10/19, 26, 11/2, 9)
Image and Video (Prof. 黃、孫)
Week 1: Introduction to Basic Image and Video Processing (Lecture + Homework)
Week 2: Lab on Image Filtering and Scaling
Week 3: Lab on Motion Estimation
Week 4: Lab on Frame-rate Up-conversion. Final Project ideas.

Unit 3: (11/16, 23, 30, 12/7)
Audio and Speech
Week 1: Introduction to Python programming. (李祈均)
Week 2: FFT and spectrum visualization. (李祈均)
Week 3: Block-wise real-time FIR filtering. (劉奕汶)
Week 4: Stereo sounds and head-related transfer functions. (劉奕汶) Final Project ideas.

六、成績考核(Evaluation)
由於此實驗課由六位老師及各自的助教帶領大家作實驗,以下為課程進行方式與要求:

A. 對老師與助教的要求
* 上課前一週透過LMS 發佈講義與建議預習資料。
* Lecture (1 hr/week, approximately) 以介紹工具與經驗分享(e.g., 可能遭遇的困難)
* 每次實驗前準備好 check list,供考核學生demo 使用。

B. 學生的義務與權利:
* 兩人一組,每次每個人需demo 才可離開。
* 若下課或甚至當天晚上(2100 以前)仍無法順利 demo,則建議帶回家做,至遲下一週下課(18:30)
前補 demo;請注意這是 hard deadline.
* 實驗結報每個人都要交,deadline: 隔週週一早上8am。
* 期末專題可依題目喜好,於12/14 日以前重新分組。

C. 成績考核:
* Unit 1, 2, 3 各25%,期末專題 25%. (tentatively)
* 各單元內部,demo 與報告成績各佔成績之一半.
