一、 課程說明

疾病機制 (Mechanisms of Disease) 是由醫學科學系開設給大學部高年級選修的前瞻課程，預計選擇7個主題疾病。每個主題邀請一位正在主持相關研究的院內教授主講，並由其邀請一位合作研究的臨床醫師搭配共講。連續於兩週內，分別闡述該疾病之重要醫療課題及相關基礎研究，深入探討疾病機制。課程強調 ” fusing science with medicine ”，以激發學生對相關醫學科學的認知、興趣與熱忱。同學更可藉此ㄧ窺教授們的最新研究成果。

Understanding the molecular and cellular basis of diseases is vital for dissecting disease pathogenesis and for designing appropriate and effective treatments. In a Series of specially commissioned lectures, we will introduce the current understanding of the molecular mechanisms that underlie a range of common human disorders, explores possible therapeutic targets and treatments, and discusses new technologies and resources to study disease mechanisms.
