一、課程說明(Course Description)
This course is to let students perform labs on logic design learned in the
previous semester. Students are required to work on a number of lab
assignments
and a final project.
In this course, students will use computer-aided design (CAD) tools and field-
programmable gate array (FPGA) development boards to implement and test
digital
designs.
After taking this course, students will
- acquire hands-on design experience with a complete CAD tool suite,
- learn digital design with Verilog, and
- learn rapid prototyping using FPGAs
Major topics to be covered are listed as follows:
- logic design and test bench design with Verilog
- Xilinx CAD tool
- field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)
- modular design concept and skills
