1.Course Description:
One semester based introduction to optics.
In this class, we will cover geometrical optics and wave optics.
In geometrical optics, ray-tracing, lens design, basic optical instruments will be
covered.
In wave optic, wave equations, interference, diffraction, image formation,
coherence, polarization
will be discussed.

This course aims to provide students an overview of fundamental optics and to
introduce related optical applications in biomedical field.
