一、課程說明(Course Description)
This is an introductory course in applied statistics and probability for
undergraduate students in engineering. The purpose is to give the students an
understanding of the methodology for dealing with the variability in observed
data and how to apply it to engineering problems. Topics to be covered include
the basic concepts of probability, discrete and continuous random variables,
probability distributions, sampling distributions, point estimation of
parameters, interval estimation for a single sample, hypothesis tests for a
single sample, and simple linear regression.
