<br>（一）課程說明：
<br>宗教在人類的社會源遠流長，在哲學還沒有出現之前，宗教早已存在；即使在哲學出現之後，宗教依然存
<br>而不廢。但是隨著時間之發展，若干有關宗教的問題，卻逐漸納入哲學的反省當中，傳統的形上學，便包
<br>含一些有關宗教的議題。由於宗教有各種的型態，教義紛繁，爭論迭起，問題也有教內教外之別，故本課
<br>程只能選擇性地涵蓋部份的課題。其次，在我們的社會，佛教乃是相當重要的宗教，故本課程也試圖涉及
<br>當中若干與哲學相關的義理與問題。因此，本課程主要分兩部份：第一部份是介紹並探討當代西方的宗教
<br>哲學中的一些爭論，此中包括以下的問題：（一）惡（evil）之存在是否可以證明上帝不存在？（二）為
<br>何有些人不知道有全知、全能、全善的上帝存在？這樣的事實可否用以支持無神論的主張，亦即：這樣的
<br>上帝其實是不存在的？（三）科學能否使宗教信仰變得不合理？（四）宗教經驗可否證成宗教的信念？
<br>（五）宗教的多元論與一元論的爭論：是否只有唯一的一個宗教，其所言是真的？順著對這個問題的探
<br>討，我們轉入本課程的第二部份，我們將會介紹佛教的哲學旨趣，並討論由此而引生的一些問題。我們將
<br>涵蓋其有關形上學（緣起性空）、自我與意識，以及知識論（量論）方面之主張與論證；我們會著重這些
<br>佛教義理與西方哲學之相關學說的對比。
