一、課程說明(Course Description)
Focus on the emerging areas of lung epithelial biology and the critical issues
on
normal lung development and diseases. Current subjects of lung research field
such as interaction of epithelial and stroma, immune interaction, as well as
regulatory signaling pathways will be introduced and discussed. The course aims
to help students understand the fundamental and molecular mechanism of health
and
diseased lungs by covering following issues: (1) Lung epithelia development (2)
lung biology and maintenance of lung function (3) epithelia-mesenchyme
interaction (4) Acute and chronic pulmonary diseases (5) lung cancer initiation
and metastasis (6) normal lung stem cell and lung cancer stem cells.
