一、課程說明(Course Description)
In this course we will learn: 1) recombinant DNA technology; 2) procedure of
generation of transgenic and gene knock mice; 3) the molecular mechanism of
gene
gain/loss of function in mouse transgenic model; 4) conventional and
conditional
transgenic gene expression models; 5) conventional and conditional gene KO
models
and Cre-Lox technology; 6) applications of mouse models in developmental
biology
research; 7) established mouse models in human disease research. We will
review
about how transgenic animals are generated and what recombinant DNA
technologies
are involved. The well-established disease models will be introduced in class
and
discussed, including the rationale and application of transgenic models in
developmental biology, physiology and disease related research.
