一、課程說明(Course Description)

本課程主要培育半導體領導人才,期待對半導體真正有興趣、有熱忱的學生修習。本課程介紹半導
體產業、產品、元件、製程、封裝、測試、可靠度、、及故障分析等半導體相關技術全貌,及實際工
業上應用,並邀請以上各領域業界專家授課。使研究所學生在跨入業界或更深入研究前,對半導體各
相關技術,能一窺全貌,將來能學以致用,並成為半導體領導人才。
PS: 本[MS540400半導體製程課程]、MS437000"及MS4141000,業經審核已通過抵免ND(現已改為
台灣半導體研發中心)之「積體電路製程技術訓練班」。

The goal of this course is to cultivate semiconductor leaders, especially
welcome the graduate students who have passion on semiconductor related
technologies to take. The course will cover semiconductor industry and product
overview, devices, process, packaging, testing, reliability and failure
analysis for students have a whole picture of semiconductor related
technologies so as to become a semiconductor leader.
This course “MS540400 Semiconductor Processing”, previous "MS437000" and
"MS4141000" have been been approved to waive the NDL (current Taiwan
Semiconductor Research Center) “IC Process Technology” training course, which
is required for NDL utility usage.

四、教學方式(Teaching Method)
1. Lecture with projectors given by industry leaders with expertise in
semiconductor related fields
2. Lecture for the first 2 hr lecture plus 1 hr discussion later


五、教學進度(Syllabus)

1. 2 weeks Semiconductor industry and product overview
2. 2 weeks Semiconductor device advance enabling mobile internet
3. 2 weeks Semiconductor front end of line process
4. 2 weeks Semiconductor back end of line process
5. 2 weeks Semiconductor packaging
6. 2 weeks Semiconductor testing
7. 2 weeks Semiconductor reliability
8. 2 weeks Semiconductor failure analysis


六、成績考核(Evaluation)

1 . Specific project study - Speaker visit (15%)
- 5 students/group visits one speaker together and each students submits 3-
page-ppt (5%) + 2-min-video (10%)(Submit by Friday. Each student should
provide his/her own report. The group will be formed in the class)
- Each group gives a 30 min overview to Prof. Tsai and Prof. Yew about the
plan of speaker-visit 2 weeks ahead of the speaker's lecture. (Schedule will
be settled during the class. The contents of the report should cover 1. What's
the critical issue of current technologies. 2. What's the solution from
speaker's view points. 3. What's your view point on the solution and
innovative approaches?)
2. Specific project report-2 (choose one speaker): (15%)
Each student should choose one speaker about their lecture to provide a 3-
page-ppt file report (5%) and 2-min-video (10%) about their view (submit by
Friday).
3. Final exam (35%)
4. Interaction and discussion in class (15%)
5. 1-page brief summary for each class (20%).
Submit right after the class, limited to half-page . Can waive two minimum
score, including the absence ranked as "0".

Note: 評分方式補充說明
1. 親自 Interview 講者報告 : 3-page-ppt (5%) + 2-min-video (10%)(當週五交)
- 親自 interview 報告方面,須在兩個禮拜以前和蔡老師及游老師討論要去訪問講者時要問
問的問題,之後可由助教或是蔡老師的秘書約時間親自訪談講者,須以小組為單位,5人一組,小組
每人各須交一份ppt及video,不是一組交一份。
2. 自選主題介紹報告(沒有interview) : 3-page-ppt (5%) + 2-min-video (10%)
(當週五交)
- 自選主題介紹報告方面,個人只要挑一堂有興趣的課,做報告和影片即可,不需 以小組為單
位。
- 關於以上兩份ppt和影片的形式、內容和表達方式會在第一次上課時詳述(兩份的講者不能重
複)
3. 期末考 (35%)
4. 上課發言 (15%)
5. 課堂報告 (20%) (課後立即交)
- 課堂報告為每次上課時會發單子給大家寫,關於講者介紹的內容和自身的看法,會限定句
數,半頁以內,只寫重點不用寫多。
