<br>Autophagy is an emerging research topic. Special topics on autophagy and 
<br>disease will discuss the background of autophagy, the development of tools and 
<br>therapeutics to measure and modulate autophagy, and autophagy in tissues and 
<br>disease processes. In addition, this course will cover the current 
<br>understanding of the roles of autophagy in health and disease. The students 
<br>are expect to learn major concepts in autophagy research and current trend of 
<br>drug development strategies targeting autophagy.
