● 課程說明(Course Description)
This course includes three major parts: basic thermodynamics, solution
thermodynamics/binary phase diagrams, and chemical reactions. The first part
includes the three laws of thermodynamics, auxiliary functions, and free
energy calculation. The second part starts from gas behavior, one-component
system, solution behavior, and finally binary phase diagram. The third part
teaches gas-gas reactions and gas-solid reactions. Students will learn the
physical meaning of the three laws of thermodynamics, the calculation of
thermodynamic functions and the applications of thermodynamics in materials
science. This course aims to provide a basis for a variety of subsequent
courses in Materials Science.
