<br>1. Square-Wave inverters: Phase-shifted control; Six-Step inverter.
<br>2. Pulse-Width Modulation inverters: Sine-Triangle PWM; Stationary
<br>  fr<x>ame transformation and synchronous fr<x>ame transformation;
<br>  Space-Vector PWM; Zero sequence injection.
<br>3. Current Regulator: Hysteresis regulator; Synchronous fr<x>ame PI
<br>   regulator; Predictive regulator.
<br>4. Multilevel inverters: Neutral point clamped (NPC); Flying
<br>   Capacitor; Cascaded H Bridge;  SVPWM of multilevel inverter.
<br>5. Application Examples: Field Oriented Control of induction
<br>   machines; Active Filter Systems; Static VAR Compensators.
<br>
<br>6. IGBT implementation issues: Gate Driver and protection; Low
<br>    stray inductance bus plane; Parallel connection of IGBTs; Thermal
<br>     calculations; 
<br>
<br>Laboratory sessions will be included within major topics.
