● 課程說明(Course Description)
The purpose of this course is to guide students to do a comprehensive literature
review on issues related to STEAM education. The practices and empirical studies on
STEAM education in K-12 schools, higher education, informal education and industries
are emphasized. Students are required to do comprehensive literature review based on
four constructs: rationale of STEAM education, teaching model, teaching activity
designs and evaluation of learning effectiveness. Each student needs to write an
academic paper based on the results of literature review.

Session 1: Comprehensive literature review and discussion
Students are required to do comprehensive literature review (at least three academic
papers) on the topics of STEAM education in K-12 education, higher education,
informal education, and talent cultivation and workforce training of industries.
Each student also needs to present the results of literature review to peers. All
students need to have comprehensive discussion on the presentation.

Section 2: Academic paper writing
After section 1, all students are required to write academic papers based on the
results of literature review. Each draft academic paper is also required to be
presented to peers. It will be discussed and reviewed. Students are encouraged to
submit their papers to an academic conference or journal.

Evaluation on literature review, report and discussion (60%) and academic paper
writing (40%)
