一、課程說明
Transcription Factor Forkhead Box (Fox) protein family members regulate
transcriptional network of genes control multiple cell physiology. Among them,
FoxM1 protein has been identified as an important transcription factor in
development, cancer, aging and other diseases. This course extends the setting
from Forkhead Box protein special topics (I) and aims to help students understand
the molecular mechanism and biological roles of FoxM1, especially lung and
pancreas. The content involves major issues are as follows: 1) Regulation of
Forkhead box M1 transcription factors; 2) Gene transcriptional regulation by
FoxM1
protein; 3) FoxM1 target genes and regulatory signal pathways; 4) FoxM1 protein in
mouse organogenesis; 5) FoxM1 protein in cancer initiation and progression; 6) Fox
proteins oxidative stress and mitochondria function and dynamics. 7) Macrophage
polarization.
