一、 課程說明(Course Description)
The aims of this course is to introduce the technology platforms, methodologies,
and the design of organ on a chip and artificial organs. Knowledge of organ on a
chip design and application will be introduce including brain on a chip, lung on
a chip, and disease on a chip. Various engineering issues surrounding the design
of artificial organs including biopolymers and biocompatibility, stem cell
technology, biomimetic systems, design principles for tissue and blood contact,
and control of artificial organs are emphasized. Knowledge to the design of
artificial organs including circulatory support devices, drug delivery systems,
artificial kidney, and other bioartificial organs are included.
