Course Description:
This course offers a basic introduction to contrastive analysis, an approach
that is still useful in today's language teaching. Various aspects of language
differences will be discussed, including phonetics, phonology, morphology, and
syntax, as well as corpus-based online resources that are helpful in
conducting contrastive analysis and course design.

Teaching Method:
Textbooks and supplementary materials will be used in teaching. Students are
required to take active roles in discussion. Corpus-based online resources will
be introduced. Final term papers must be submitted as a partial fulfillment of
