Course Description and objectives:
This course is intended to provide M.A. students with a broader context on
linguistics and help them synthesize their linguistic knowledge. It will be
strategically directed to the main areas of research in the field of
TESOL/Applied Linguistics. In other words, students in this course will be
familiarized with the main trends of research through successive seminars.
Topics covered include phonetics, phonology, morphology, semantics, syntax,
and language acquisition.
