一、課程說明(Course Description):
This is a course to introduce physics of superconductivity. It is expected for students who have made sure
that he/she will do research in condensed matter physics in master or Ph. D degree will attend this class. The
course will cover all aspects of superconductivity that is required to perform research on superconductivity.

4. Magnetic properties of Type I and II superconductors

6. Fluctuation effects
B. Microscopic Mechanism – the BCS superconductors
1. Elementary quantum many-particle theory
2. The BCS theory
3. Tunneling and Josephson effects
4. The Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations and their applications
5. Field theory approach and derivation of the Ginzburg-Landau equations
6. Strong-coupling theory and the Eliashberg equation
C. Unconventional superconductors
1. Discovery of high temperature superconductors and surprises
2. The Fermi liquid of the normal state
3. Resonance valence bond (RVB) model and other models
4. Other unconventional superconductors
