本課程介紹科學與技術研究的背景與主要取徑。科學研究(Science Studies)，與科學與
技術研究(Science and Technology Studies)、科技與社會(Science, Technology, and
Society)等等研究領域的研究對象和取向多所重疊，不同的說法或是強調科技研發與普及過程的複
雜性、或者強調介入與實踐面向的重要性。經過近半世紀的發展，該領域的理論語彙與個案研究已
經多不勝數。本課程希望達成三個目的。一是透過科學哲學和STS的觀點，瞭解科學如何進行; 二是
瞭解主要的研究取徑和理論語彙; 三是透過個案研究的探討，培養以科學技術活動為研究對象的操
作能力。

成績考核:
一、課堂參與討論: 20%。
二、課堂報告: 每次上課由兩位同學負責報告指定閱讀書目。報告的重點在於分析作者的論據是否
充分、論證是否合理，並且提出自己的問題及觀點。每位同學報告時間最長二十分鐘。佔10%。
三、memo: 每次上課針對閱讀文獻，撰寫兩頁(A4，12級字)以內的評論，並提出兩個討論問題，於
該週上課當天下午一點以前上傳至Moodle。佔30%。
四、期末報告: 可以是理論的回顧與評論、經驗研究的計畫，或是初步的田野觀察和分析。八千到
一萬字。佔40%。
