一、課程說明(Course Description)

This course introduces fundamental optics of plasmonic materials with an emphasis on the underlying mechanisms and their applications. Topics include Surface plasmon polaritons at metal/insulator interfaces, localized surface plasmons, plasmon waveguides and sensors.

本門課將分為上下學期教授,涵蓋無機材料的基礎光學性質(上學期)以及表面電漿(下學期),並著重介紹無機材料在生醫工程及奈米光電之應用。在下學期的課程中,將以良好光學基礎為主軸,引導學生從邏輯思考進而瞭解金屬材料的表面電漿原理,同時增強學生應有的實驗理論,包含基礎電磁波理論、金屬/介電材料界面電漿現象、定域表面電漿共振,並進行其在國際間尖端應用之介紹。
