一、課程說明(Course Description)

This course describes with the design and development process of imaging
instruments as biomedical devices. The goals are: 1) to provide a complete
overview of the medical device life cycle; 2) to revise imaging principals for
each main Medical imaging modalities (CT, MRI, ultrasound, optical methods); 3)
to understand the role phantoms play in system characterization and image
quality
analysis, i.e. spatial resolution, contrast, FOV, homogeneity, temporal
resolution etc; 4) software analysis for each of these characteristics would be
discussed, and the various assessment metrics considered.
This course will be taught in English

二、教學方式(Teaching Method)

Alongside traditional lectures, there will be a substantial portion of the
course
dedicated to dialog. This shall be achieved by posing open questions to
students,
and encouraging discussions amongst the class.
