Course Description:
This course introduces the Human Factors Testing and evaluation methods that
are often used in ergonomic research studies. The students will learn how to
define ergonomic research question(s), get themselves familiar with data
measurement equipment, design valid experiments to test research hypotheses,
analyze data, and interpreter their findings. The class will (1) introduce/review
human factors/ergonomic research methods (2) present cases for students to
learn in depth (3) discuss the principles, functionalities, and applications
of selected lab equipment (4) provide chances for students to familiarize
themselves with the equipment through actual experiment design practices.
Through the training of this class, the students will be able to equip
themselves better for their graduate research studies in the area of
ergonomics.
