This course adopts a top-down approach, beginning from suprasegmental features
(pitch, stress, intonation) of words, phrases, and sentences. Then segmental
features like consonants and vowels are introduced. It aims at providing relevant
knowledge in English pronunciation and helping students to appreciate intricacies
of language.
