一、課程說明 (The course is subject to change based on student learning needs.)
This course is designed for graduate students. It aims to introduce crucial
principles and practices of English language assessment and present current
research issues in English language assessment. Essential concepts about
language assessment development, such as (1) practices of language
assessments; (2) techniques to assess language skills and abilities; and (3)
theoretical ideas about language assessment are covered. Academic research
studies in the field of language assessment are discussed. At the end of the
course, students are able to
■ demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental principles, concepts,
process, strength, and limitations of language assessment
■ demonstrate the ability to development assessments to meet various
assessment needs
■ apply appropriate procedures for the evaluation of EFL learners
■ articulate clearly on language assessment issues
