<br>This course is designed for graduate students. It aims to introduce crucial 
<br>principles and practices of English language assessment and present current 
<br>research issues in English language assessment. Essential concepts about 
<br>language assessment development, such as (1) practices of language 
<br>assessments; (2) techniques to assess language skills and abilities; and (3) 
<br>theoretical ideas about language assessment are covered. Academic research 
<br>studies in the field of language assessment are discussed. At the end of the 
<br>course, students are able to
<br>■ demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental principles, concepts, 
<br>process, strength, and limitations of language assessment
<br>■ demonstrate the ability to development assessments to meet various 
<br>assessment needs
<br>■ apply appropriate procedures for the evaluation of EFL learners
<br>■ articulate clearly on language assessment issues
