一、 課程說明(Course Description)
This course aims to pinpoint some issues related to applied
linguistics in language teaching. Students in this course will be
familiarized with various subfields of applied linguistics as well as the
basic methodology for linguistic research and analysis. Equipped with
background knowledge acquired in this course, students are expected to do
their researches independently and come up with teaching materials and methods
tailored for prospective language learners in their future teaching careers.

四、 教學方式(Teaching Method)
Theories of applied linguistics will be presented and discussed. For a
specific topic, examples will be provided and analyzed, first by the lecturer,
then by the students. Oral presentation of the lessons is required for every
student.

七、 AI 使用規則
Conditionally open:

Students may briefly explain how generative AI was used for topic ideation,
sentence refinement, or structural reference in the footnotes of the title page
or after the bibliography in their assignments or reports. However, in the
"personal reflection report" of this course, students are not allowed to use
generative AI tools for writing assignments. If usage is discovered without
proper disclosure, instructors, the institution, or relevant units have the right
to reevaluate the assignment or report or withhold scores. Students enrolled in
this course agree to the above ethics statement if registering for the class.
