Course Description: Slice electrophysiology is a valuable and critical
technique
for measuring cell membranes' electrophysiological properties (membrane potential
and ionic conductances) that control neuronal functions, such as the firing of an
action potential or neural silencing. This course will guide students in reading
and presenting the latest scientific articles regarding slice electrophysiology.
Students will acquire basic knowledge and novel application of electrophysiology
and data interpretation.

Text Books: Latest scientific papers in neuroscience

Teaching Method: All students are required to read the assigned papers and
present
or discuss them in class.

Evaluation: Class performance: 20%; Presentation: 60%; Attendance: 20%
